So our Leadership Retreat was pretty fun. Everyone pretty much repelled twice. Even though they almost had to throw me down both times. It was a 90 foot cliff! We had a pretty good time, then went and had lunch.

This weekend was pretty good too. Rob, Kai, and I just hung out a bit. Went to the splash pad on Main St. It was CRAZY busy though, but I got a couple good shots of Kai.

And of course I have been playing with my camera and photoshop a bit! :D

31 days and counting..
One month until the baby is here!! So crazy to think. I had a Dr. appointment on tuesday, everything's still going good. I'm measuring perfect and all seems well. My feet are still swelling like mad, and I'm still getting migraines. :(
I just keep checking my blood pressure to make sure I'm ok. Lately if I don't eat in a couple hours I get SOO shakey, lightheaded, sweaty, and hot. So I just gotta keep up on that. I am definately to the point of being DONE! I feel so huge and swollen and nothing fits me right now and my hips and pubic bone hurt all the time. In the evening I am so stiff. But one good thing is Rob's gotten to feel the baby move a ton lately. He sticks his foot or butt out a ton and it amazes Rob. Rob also will pull me to him and kiss my stomach, its so cute. I'm so excited and so freaked out at the same time. We have the car seat in the car and my bag is pretty much packed. I just wonder how my cats are going to handle this! :P I still don't know what I'm going to do after my maternity leave, I have to work, but don't want my baby in day care. I'm just praying that something works out. Or maybe I'll have to change jobs. Thats the LAST thing I want to do! My job pays well and I enjoy it, no other job will pay as good right now. Too bad Rob doesn't make double his pay!
My next Dr. appointment is next wednesday, I guess we'll see how that goes. I'll be 36 weeks, maybe they'll start checking me?

Hell week
Work this week has been so stressful!! A certain "someone" has decided to make life miserable for EVERYONE!! I only go to morning meeting once a week now, and while I was there this week, I felt so much stress I almost took a chemical shower to see if it would get rid of any of the filth I felt. Everyone is so worked up now and every one is freaking out. Which in turn, causes more stress. I'm about ready to freak out, I can't take it. Poor Robyn, my friend I just got a job there, has been having to come into my office and clear her shakras, and I feel like I need to now! ONE good thing is, Rob has a job!!! He's at my work, but contracted. He works for Healthcare services group. They manage our Housekeeping and Laundry at our facility. He's an "account manager" so he wears a shirt and tie, which is weird for him, but it seems to be going well. Its good to know that if I need a hug, I can page him to my office! :D
I'm just waiting on all the CNAs and Nurses to hit on him! :P
Anyway....thank goodness it's friday tomorrow and hopefully I can calm down and relax this weekend!

So......Thirty.....
First off, Someone requested a full picture of my Christmas tree...Not very exciting but here you go:
The big 3-0…Good thing my co-workers made it a good day, so I wouldn’t sit in my office crying and mourning my younger years. It is SO hard to believe that I am 30. I seriously feel like early 20s. Does that feeling ever change? Time flies so fast after high school, back then I’d never have believed it, but its true! I guess at least I can say I was married before 30. I had originally wanted kids all done by 30, also, but alas. I must try to get it all done before 35. New deadline! Hahaha.
Since Rob’s birthday is 3 days before mine, we have a combined dinner at his parent’s house. They gave me a framed picture of Rob and I at the wedding. Its my favorite one of us, so I was SOOO excited because I hadn’t been able to get any blown up yet.
On the day of my birthday my boss and some other co-workers had decorated my office, so that was cute. And Debbie, my boss, also made me some sweet slippers!!!
HAHAHA (...yeah, out of maxi-pads)
Debbie's daughter, Amanda made me an awesome cake!!
Everyone kept bringing me stuff, so it was sweet. My sister, April, brought me a dozen flowers, and they STILL look amazing after 5 days. They opened so big and smelled SO GOOD.
Rob got me a heated throw blanket because I’m always cold and a heated back massager, because my back is always hurting. So I was excited about those! :D
That night we went out to dinner to Texas Roadhouse with my mom, Dave, Madison, Brycen, Jalee, Josh, Skylar, Gwennie, and Owen. It was pretty fun. It had been snowing pretty much all day, and when we were eating the flakes got bigger, so Rob was way excited. Rob promised me I wouldn’t have to sit on the birthday saddle at Texas Roadhouse, but my lovely sister in law and brother knew one of the waiters and told him as soon as they walked in, so it ended up being unavoidable, DANG IT!!! My mom got pictures, but I look nasty in them, so I will NOT post them HERE. Good thing it wasn’t a busy night! My mom got me a cool shirt, some lotion and a little Asian decoration for my living room. I was glad that everyone could go to dinner with me (minus April, she had to work). Its always fun to get together. So now I’m 30…..and my husband is 31……we’re old and moldy.
This was us at dinner, Rob was hiding behind me. :P
But I had a pretty good birthday over all. But now on to the crying for a decade until I turn 40 and really go into shock.
Thank you to everyone who made my birthday such a good day! I love you all!!!
This was the snow the day after my b-day

Frustration and Alzheimer's
HOLY CRAP!! Yesterday I had never been so glad it was Friday in my life! Our new director at work seems to think that I’m his personal slave, and it’s driving me insane. I do payroll and accounts payable. We HAVE an administrative assistant. Why am I having to everything for him! He’s an alright guy, and can be funny, but when he gets frustrated, holy cow, watch out. If he can’t find some form or information, he asks me. And I’m like, “hell if I know!!” He wanted me to teach him how to approve the invoices I park, and I’m like, “I don’t know….I haven’t been the director before!!” And I offer to get lunch for one of the girls here, and all of the sudden, he’s in my office giving me a run down of what people in the conference room want for lunch. When did I become a delivery driver again?? The admin. Assistant said, “I usually do the lunch orders.” Because she knew that I was in the middle of a million things, and he said, “No, Danielle can go get it.” FREAK!
Then I have whiney little employees telling me that I shorted them hours, so I just sit here thinking: “uh, NO, I didn’t…you’re just too stupid to look at the Time Report book that I put out for you to CHECK your OWN hours!! I don’t know when the crap you work!! YOU shorted YOURSELF hours.” There are 125 employees, I can’t keep track of every single one.
Ok….now that I’m done venting for a second……..PHEW……….
I hope I have a GOOD, LONG weekend! So far, its started off well. My mom and I teamed up to do the ‘Memory Walk’ for the Alzheimer’s Association this morning, it was actually pretty fun, and I was really happy that my mom came with me.
It was just a mile, but our facility has earned a good amount of money to contribute so that makes me happy. I got some pictures of the action.

There were a lot more people there than I expected, so YAY!
It was a BEAUTIFUL day for the walk too. It was at Sunriver Golf Course:
The temporary 'Memory Garden':
Mom was walking Debbie's dog Izzie trying to wear him out:
Our whole group:
Anyway….I’m off to find something to do! (or it will find ME).

HALLOWEEN!!!

I guess when you get older, and don't have kids yet, Halloween is just not that exciting anymore. I mean, I enjoy all the decorations, and I even like dressing up if other people are going to (and thank goodness me and the people at my work are into making fools of ourselves). But as I was driving home from work and saw some kids already starting to head out Trick-or-Treating, I got thinking how fun it will be to have my own kids to take out. I like handing out candy, but we don't get many people by our houses. Especially now that everyone "Trunk-or-Treats" now. Which is convenient for them.
Anyway...I'm glad that at my work we try to make it fun for the residents to matter what, so that's cool. So I wanted to share some of the pictures from my work for Halloween, etc.
Me and Rob's pumpkins:
Debbie, her flying monkey, Becca, and me (I didn't have the time or money or energy for a costume, so I recycled my straight jacket from 2 years ago):
Mitch (our Occupational Therapist), Mikey (one of my FAVORITE residents) the "paperboy", and me:
Donut eating contest:
Pinata:
Dale, the Pirate, he's a crack up!
The business office assistant, Amanda, as Cruella De Vil, and her son, Hunter, a dalmation. Her miniature pincher was a dalmation too. And Marge, the hippy:
Jalee brought the kids to visit me:

My mom borrowed stuff from my costume last year:
Madison was Hermine:
Brycen was Darth Vader:
Josh and Jalee were just plain sexy:
And Michelle (Rob's sister) and Russ brought the girls over. Kalie is 13, so she's "Too old" to dress up anymore, but Brittany and Stephanie were a princess and a pirate:
Now.....gearing up for Thanksgiving and Christmas!

1980s
Totally Rad!!!!
Notice the "rainbow stripe" eyeshadow!! Today was the 80s day. It was awesome. I had so much inspiration growing up with my mom always all decked out, being in a band, and sadly...the only thing I had to BUY for the outfit was the socks and the stripped shirt. Everything else I had already (and April borrowed me the black necklace).
There were a lot of people that dressed up. Even our Admissions Coordinator, Paula did. And I did NOT think she would!
She said she felt like a moron, but figured if our Receptionist could dress up on 60’s day, then she’d be inspired and go with the group! And she looked so awesome! I sat and talked to her for a while today and the stories she tells and the way she tells them is soooo funny! I was laughing so hard I almost cried off my fake eyelashes!
Rebecca and I:
I kept forgetting that I was dressed up, until people would look at me funny in the halls. And my favorite resident that said I was “sexy” yesterday couldn’t stop laughing at me today. It was funny.
I had to borrow my sisters hair waver because no one I know has a crimper, but the waver worked nicely! I had so many layers of clothes on though, I was afraid to go to the bathroom! Made me think of the 90’s and the bodysuits that were sometimes a pain…BUT your shirt stayed tucked in!!! I did like that part! So tomorrow I’m thinking I’ll go grunge. That’s what I first thought of when I thought 90s. Every week needs to be this exciting. OR maybe I need to get a life that involves more excitement than dressing up like a dork everyday! Wow, I suck. I need a dog….so I can dress IT up! :D

Not enough sleep
So I was 3 people at work today: Central Supply, Admissions, and Transport...good hell, would someone clone me? While driving this bi-polar lady on 5 different occasions in ONE DAY, she hollered at me, then said I did a great job, then got mad cause it was cold, then said thanks, BLAH! And then I had people shouting at me because the bariatric shower chair broke...but its the end of the month and we have no more budget left, so the "higher-ups" wouldnt let me do anything about it. So I was like, "well, what do you want ME to DO? BE the bariatric shower chair??" awesome....
Monday after work Rob and I went to Vegas because a couple of his friends were in town for a convention. They wanted us to join them for a show, it was Crystal Method. I don't listen to them, but I wanted to go anyway. Turns out that in the same club, on the same night was "Pole-A-Palooza".
A Pole dancing competition.....lovely....just what I felt like witnessing. It was ok when there was someone in a Rabbit suit and a Cat In The Hat suit did it, but when the manly looking chicks wearing pasties started, I knew it was time to leave the room to watch Crystal Method in the next room....Needless to say, we were up until 5:30 am, but we got to crash at the friends' hotel room, and I was allowed Tuesday off work...good thing! I only got MAYBE 5 hours sleep, but it was fun anyway. I got to dance for a couple hours to some hip-hop, it was nice, I haven't gone dancing in a couple years! My legs are sore now....
