Happy Valentines Day!!

Ahhh...Valentines day.....The day I had my first kiss with Rob. I've loved Valentines ever since then. Even with Rob in Oregon, I managed to spend every Valentines Day with him, except one. Which was hard, but thankfully I was with Josh and Jalee that year, and they took me to Applebees and we begun our wonderful bright light shining in your eyes and singing Gloria Estefan's "Coming out of the dark". Which still makes me laugh. But Valentines has always been special for us. This year I told Rob we didn't have to do anything exciting because its not our "real" anniversary anymore, now we're married and our first anniversary will be on April 5th. But Rob said he still wanted it to be special. We're going to Zion's today to stay over, and have reservations at the Switchback Grille tonight. I'm excited, I think it will be fun. And it's so crazy to think of our first kiss being ELEVEN years ago today. From then on, we were together all the time and he has pretty much always been the exception to every bad "typical guy" thing. Rob, I love you so much and I am so happy that I met you over 11 years ago, and I am glad that no matter who I dated in all our "off" times, I always came back to you, and in the end, you're who I am with.
I hope everyone's Valentines day is good today!! I love you all!
I'll share the first picture ever taken of us together in March 1998:

And the happiest day of my life, so far:

The headache

It is mostly gone, but it has been lingering on. So about 2 weeks now. Its definitely BETTER, but not 100%. Freaking dumb headache!! :(
A new Executive Director started this week at my work, and he seems pretty cool, so I hope that helps with de-stressing. Even though I didn't realize I was stressed enough to have a tension headache for 2 weeks. Other than that...hmm....Its been in the 90 degree bracket here in the desert for a while and today it rained. Its pretty cold too... I am wearing real shoes with SOCKS (I'm a flip-flop freak), and a long sleeve shirt. The forecast for this week says 70s and 80s. So maybe we're now permanently out of the 90s+. DANG!!! I hate Autumn...its always been depressing for me. I love the summer, so seeing it end is hard. But I gotta be positive.
As of tomorrow Rob and I will have been married 6 MONTHS! Crazy, its going by fast. Now we just have to get things ready for April's wedding in March. I guess helping with that will keep my mind occupied until Spring...it helped last year (planning mine).

“Wake up! We’re at war, we’re at war!”…I woke up frantic and confused. Jalee had opened the door to my bedroom and ran back out. I ran out to the living room and on the TV I see the twin towers, with smoke coming out of one. It was so confusing. We didn’t know much so far. Just my mom had called and left a message saying to call her before we turned on the TV. Jalee did and my mom said “I think we’re at war.” It was so scary. All I was thinking was “What happened? Who’s doing this? What was it?” Finally through the day we found out more and more. It was supposed to be a good day. It was Josh and Jalee’s 2nd Anniversary, but the day was instantly turned sad. My brother, Skylar (who was a baby then), and I all sat in front of the TV all day. We lived in Vegas at the time. Jalee had to go to work. She managed Cold Stone, but she was so stressed out and no one was coming in, so she finally decided to just close for the day and come home with us. Since we didn’t know if there’d be more attacks, being in a big city was a little scary. People were talking about Hoover Dam being attacked to shut off water to many people. They cleared people out of the Stratosphere Hotel and other tall hotels on the Las Vegas Strip. It was scary being away from my mom. I was glad I was with SOME family, but since we still knew so little, we worried that there’d be attacks everywhere. I, like many others, had become so comfortable in our “safe” country and thought that nothing like that could happen here on U.S. soil. It was such a violated feeling. My heart goes out to all those who lost someone on this day 7 years ago. I am very thankful that I was safe and my family was safe. So, today, I will remember all those who’ve lost someone, and who was lost. They’ll never be forgotten.
And on a happier note: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to Josh and Jalee. And CONGRATULATIONS!! I love you guys soo soo much!
